After an amazing debut last year, we're back and bigger than ever! Join us for the 2nd Annual Albuquerque Fermentation & Fungi Fest, hosted by the Downtown ABQ Arts & Cultural District.
Join us in celebrating the rich world of fermentation and fungi at the ABQ Fermentation and Fungi Fest 2024.
Festivities Include:
Battle of the Breads Competition: Whether you're a professional baker or an enthusiastic home baker, this is your chance to shine! Pros will compete for our awesome Baker Trophies, while amateurs can snag cool prizes from pro bakers and score some festival goodies!

More fermentation & fungi demos: We’re doubling down on our love for fermentation and fungi with even more demos and fun facts about these incredible organisms!
Expanded Vendor Market: We're inviting more local vendors from across New Mexico to join us this year to offer a wider selection and variety of the finest fermentation and fungi products.

The DowntownABQ MainStreet Initiative is a community redevelopment organization, federally recognized 501-C3 private non-profit, State designated since 2008. Our mission is to promote and support downtown’s economic, social, and creative vitality through community-driven projects and programs.
The Downtown Albuquerque Arts & Cultural District is both a place and a program in action: it is a designated area of 30 blocks in Downtown Albuquerque, and as an initiative of DowntownABQ Mainstreet, the District supports the creative economy of Downtown Albuquerque. We accomplish this through promotional support, funding, and partnerships. The Arts & Cultural District is State designated since 2016.
A vibrant downtown is a symbol of community economic health, local quality of life, pride, and community identity. We support this through a variety of programs and projects. This includes:
Promoting and supporting downtown’s economic, social and creative vitality including its image and appearance through advocacy, projects and business development.
